About the ASTA/NJ String Symposium

The ASTA/NJ String Symposium offers New Jersey teachers and string students a full day of events, equally promoting both traditional and alternative styles in string performance and education. Previous clinicians have included nationally recognized string pedagogues Barbara Barber and Doris Gazda, conductor and composer Sandra Dackow, jazz violinist John Blake, fiddler Janet Farrar-Royce, and Arabic music specialist Leanne Darling. Teachers and students are encouraged to participate in junior and senior high All-State solo master classes conducted by top music educators.
