The Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Ms. Chiu-Tze Lin, is announcing its Third Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition. Winners of the competition will be featured as soloists with the orchestra in its Spring concert in May 2010. The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra announces the Bergen Philharmonic/Stone Young Artist's Competition.
This year's competition will be open to string instruments, which will include violin, viola, cello and bass. Audition cd's must be received by the Orchestra no later than 4/15/10. The Finals will be held in person on 5/23/10 at 3:00pm, the location will be announced at a later date. Contestants must be between the ages of 16 and 28. Contestants should be prepared to perform a concerto from the standard repertoire for the finals with their own accompanist. The prepared finals performance version should be no longer than 15 minutes in duration. Applications may be obtained from the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra by mail - P.O. The competition winner will perform with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra at a Presentation Concert on November 6, 2010.
